Brainspotting Therapy
Brainspotting is a therapeutic modality that focuses on identifying and processing trauma, emotional distress, and other challenging experiences through the use of eye gaze and bilateral stimulation. It was developed by David Grand in 2003 and has gained recognition as a trauma-focused approach.
The benefit of Brainspotting is that you DO NOT have to relive the trauma(s) to process it/them. The purpose is to put the trauma behind you and begin to live your best life. If you’re looking for Brainspotting therapists or practitioner you’ve found her!
Brainspotting is a specialized approach, so it might not be as widely available as more traditional therapeutic modalities. It’s important to ensure that the therapist you choose has undergone proper training in Brainspotting techniques. Karen Richards has successfully completed Brainspotting levels 1 and 2 training.
